(Not Quite) Rocking the Kasbah

I’ve wanted to go to Morocco for years, but always hesitated booking until last Christmas, however luck it seems was not on my side as I was snowed in.

DSCF1534I think perhaps it was meant to be as I got to go this October with the boy – a good thing as I really don’t think I would have coped on me own. My vision of Marrakech was that it was a laid back, relaxed hippy destination. What a shock to my system it was!

Christmas Shopping

My mother always told me that men do not like shopping, so I was rather surprised when the boy suggested we go to Bluewater on the way back from Rochester.
After queuing on the motorway for 15 minutes to get to the Bluewater turnoff, I must admit I was worried whether the day would end in tears and tantrums (which it did, but only mine!). But it turns out that in fact, the boy likes to shop. And shop we did.

Rochester: Dedicated to Dickens

This weekend the boy took me on a mini road trip to Rochester to see some castles and visit his friends.

Rochester is a quaint little historic town, and what I liked most about it, was not the dead pigeon infested Rochester Castle (and you know how much I love castles), or the extremely old and stunning Rochester Cathedral, but the town’s undying devotion to one of its famous residents – Charles Dickens.

Sex in the Sahara

Recently, the boy and I took our first holiday together. And we survived.
Whilst I love to travel, I’m also rather hard work. I have a fear of flying, I’m paranoid at being late, and I need a plan. You can therefore imagine my trepidation about subjecting my man to this side of me, especially as he sees me as easy-going laidback adventurer (where he got this impression I do not know).
